My Only Friend
I lay down beneath the sun,
And watch all colors fade to brown
The trees around me sway together
I watch as autumn leaves drift down
I lay down beneath the sun,
As this world of light will fade to grey
I'm by myself, no one's beside me
There was before, but no one stays
I lay down beneath the sun,
I'll be here until time's end
To watch as nature's beauty fades
Nature is my only friend.
