My Muse Once Sleeping Is Awake
My Muse Once Sleeping is Awake
One fall day, two thousand fifteen,
a flashback occurred on the scene
and words flowed like a flooded lake.
My muse once sleeping was awake.
Thoughts just come upon the pages
express my hopes, pain of ages.
Life’s a verse now, not a mistake.
My muse once sleeping is awake.
How I strive to create the song
that touches the truth, rights the wrong
phrased strong to make the reader quake.
My muse once sleeping is awake.
But most of all I long to say
the words that give my heart away
that speak of all the love to make.
My muse once sleeping is awake.
