My Love Faded Away
I had kissed her goodnight for the very last time
For in the morning she was gone
She lay in misery until the end
She could not drink, speak or eat
She died right in front of me
She had signed a do not resuscitate me
They would not feed her food or give her anything to drink
I was helpless and I just watched her die
She would cry through the night for twenty one days
I was the only care giver so I was up all of those days
Exhausted I was but I never gave up
For she was my mother and we had a great love
I miss her still to this day for our love will never fade away
