My Loss My Fault
Mama asked me why I failed
Why I bailed
And 20 years on
The pain still hasn't passed
As they won't let me forget
The 1 that got away
Till this day never replaced
Never came close never matched
Never patched my everafter
Crush self destruct hat that wore upon my heart sleeve
On the floor discarded bed side
Amongst the pants my mother said
I couldn't wear to the Doctors
Who I went to fix my broken heart
That 20 years on no other girl or medicine has fixed
On my bed of bricks my memory's lie
Of gone girl and silly stupid me
Hole never be
