My Lifeline
Walking down the road I feel pain,
In my chest falling on the ground.
The darkness hides within me,
Pain, suffering, powerless,
To escape or leave.
This body lies still, unmoving and,
Silent as my life drains and no one hears me.
The only noise you hear is the blood,
As it slowly drips on the ground.
I hear running towards me,
She kneels beside me,
She presses on my chest,
All the pain miraculously leaves me.
Don't worry help is on the way.
I hear sirens, I'm holding her hand.
She is my Lifeline, I won't let her go.
She assured me I'm not going anywhere.
Ambulance is here,
I tell them no she comes with me.
The medics tell me no one is here!!
I kept telling myself I know she was here.
She was holding my hand.
The medics hand me a bloody cloth,
This must be yours.
Yes it's from that lady, my Lifeline and,
Then I look up as the medic winks.
I just smile wondering,
as she disappears right in front of my eyes.
