My Identity

My Identity Seen as one thing Identify as another A man or woman, they’re asking Identify as neither A mask, I keep on me To keep my thoughts inside No one wants me to be Who I am, on the outside I stay behind the mask, Protective and comforting I am not able to bask In myself, to no ending So I stay here, by myself Because no one likes my true self Written on January 9, 2020
