Straight up, straight down, then back to the middle,
All with a musical voice,
Dressed in red, for fire and blood,
Creating the most beautiful noise,
Like that of a drum, the slow thumping drum,
The hypnotically traditional song,
He creates a rhythm we both can live by,
With a chorus where we both belong,
And my favourite bit is when he jumps in the air,
He pulls all of me out of my seat,
It happens whenever I look to your smile,
It’s as though he just misses a beat,
He’s my zigzagging line forever weaving a course,
He’s my honest and reliable friend,
Who wants to hold you my beautiful girl,
Hold you right up to the end.
