My Guitar

Oh! Guitar, what sweet music flows from you! How your melodic strains, my mind subdue With the touch of my dexterous fingers Melody streams, my spirit it triggers Each chord in thee is fastened very tight If one's loose, the notes will not be aright With thy melody, my heart goes upbeat Sinking too deep, it quickens my heartbeat As I listen to thy finely tuned sounds To what great heights, my weary soul rebounds How you keep me long suspended in time Making me afloat in halcyon rhyme Celestial strains, pour in to drown my blue Oh!
