My Frosted Christmas Tree
My frosted tree, so prettily
she sparkles in the night.
Lit up, she seems to grin at me
with brightness and delight.
How very happy she must be
(at least that's what I guess),
for she's dolled up elegantly
in a most festive dress.
Her many limbs dip jewelry
of silver bulbs and blue.
A glittering white garland she
has draped around her too.
On Christmas morning, she will see
small children at her feet
unwrapping gifts excitedly.
Her joy will be complete.
This time of sweet felicity
lasts just till the new year.
But next year I will have my tree
appear again with cheer.
