My Four Rose of Sharons

I planted four Rose of Sharon trees around the hot tub eleven years ago. I had a weird thought they would stay little, but they grew enormous proportions. No one was more surprised than me that these woodland beauties continue to grow. In summer when people come, they marvel at these trees’ magnificent distortions, Beautifully delicate pink blossoms lure bees and wasps in, and they gather to and fro. These gentle giants shade the house and the yard and give me a place to read devotions. Incredulous that I started with four baby trees, a bag of soil, and a hoe.
