My Faerie Tale House
I am sitting across from
A stuffed frog with polka
Dots; he is wearing a
Goofy smile and a
Gold crown. Everything
Is stuffed including the
Lips and the crown.
He is totally goofy.
He is sitting under a twisting
Prism ball to which I have
Added two crystal balls – one
Pink and one turquoise. As I
Sit here thinking “The Frog Prince”
I laugh.
It is funny how a faerie tale I
Have not heard for a long time
Suddenly appears in front of me,
Of my own doing, on a subconscious
Level.
I am in my make-believe house, which
Is across the driveway from my real house.
I have put my favorite things over here,
I’m taking them out of the big house little
By little, to see if I could ever downsize.
Here the dog and I sit, marveling, that
We can be this comfortable
In our faerie tale setting which
We did not realize was a faerie
Tale until a few seconds ago.
Life is good.
