My Dreams
Sometimes my dreams are not as they seem,
they may be happy or sad or brightly gleam.
To dream is to wonder and ponder on things,
as sometimes I feel like a puppet on strings.
I know how life goes as the temperature rises,
I know as I grow my dreams bring surprises.
Sometimes my nightmares are scary as can be,
in the morn’ I’ve been warned unintentionally.
I may sweat in the night full of fright and fear,
but I may wake in the light with my blankie near.
I've been stuck in a dream filled with trepidation,
I've been stuck in a rut from my dream's interpretation.
I've been going with the flow as I keep to my dreams,
and some mornings I wake up full of loud screams.
Sometimes my dreams or given during the day,
I remember signs in the things people say.
I've always dreamed to be a songwriter and singer,
hoping one day strum a guitar with my fingers.
To dream in life is to have many aspirations,
and to pass down your legacy through generations.
Many dreams come from our intimate intellect,
not knowing when we fall asleep what to expect.
To dream is to think of things from imagination,
something popping out of our mind’s creation.
