My Comfort and Delight
They sit and sit; they don’t get fat
like you or me if we did that!
Two kitties which are cute and fit.
They don’t get fat; they sit and sit.
One cat is white with eyes of blue -
I do not often hear him mew
except if hungry or at night.
With eyes of blue, one cat is white.
The ginger one with yellow eyes
wears stripes. A tiger in disguise?
Just watching him is so much fun -
with yellow eyes – the ginger one.
With one another both cats play.
My comfort and delight are they.
Each seems like the other’s brother.
Both cats play with one another.
Each comes to me in his own time.
To hear them purring is sublime.
I pet them, and it brings me glee.
In his own time, each comes to me.
