Carole Duet Poet Light Verse

My Box of Socks

My box of socks,
  purple, blue and white,
  some for day
  and some for night.

Pink ones and yellow ones
  add pep to my feet.
I dance and prance
  with the colors of the beat.

Red ones go fast.
Blue ones go slow.
Polka dots make me laugh
  and stripes to go play in the snow.

If you see me barefoot
  it's to the beach I go.
But I love socks.
I keep them in a box.
Purple, blue and white,
  some for day
  and some for night!
