My Bloody Valentine

Hey Valentine, where are you? Are you hiding amid the peaks of a mountain or in the depths of an ocean? Are you in the sweltering heat of summer Or in the torrential flood of the monsoon? You are lost between winter’s chill and the verdure of spring. You make me shiver and sweat in turn. You are at once the soft touch of a feather and the sting of a speeding arrow! Love is now stagnant without flow like the duck weed that float over the greasy surface of still waters. You are crushed between the petals of a rose and its thorns. You are thrown hither and tither, by fevered minds. Oh, where are you? You hide between darkness and dawn, at the intersection of dreams and nightmares where love and heartache copulate. Where are you, Valentine? Better you be in your hide out. I don’t want to see your bloody face, a n y m o r e…..

Sorry. I accidentally used Crystol's name below in my remark to you. I had thought I had gone to her poetry. Now I am resuming where I left off and see my mistake

Oh the contrasting shades of love! You've so well described the poignancy of a connection which feels so beautiful yet bitter at the same time ~ and in the end, only thorns remain... I felt the depth of your words in the core of my heart and especially these lines "You are at once the soft touch of a feather and the sting of a speeding arrow!", "You are crushed between the petals of a rose and its thorns" My gosh, your impactful comparisons are really soul-piercing, and that ending is beyond powerful!! Never looking back after a karmic journey which engulfed every light coruscating within one's life... how melancholic... and aching. Yet reflects an undefeatable strength in so many ways! Sending many best wishes for the contest, absolutely loved reading this, sweet poetess!!

A very strong take on the prompt this is dear sweet valsa, love the flow in your poem as well as how youv written so many lines such as "You are crushed between the petals of a rose and its thorns. You are thrown hither and tither, by fevered minds." Excellent wordplay there and depth in what youv conveyed as well as the ending is powerful really! Youv used the prompt effortlessly here! Best wishes for the contest! Pleasure reading you always! Sending you light
