Musing Reverie

I came to the beach at dawn, the sky was still a soft gray; to the endless crashing waves I was drawn, as my heart was full of worry and dismay. I needed to connect with muse, 'cause my life was crumbling and I had the blues; and I had everything I treasured to lose, I wanted to linger in my thoughts and dwell. To deeply contemplate my present living hell, sadly, I had no one to listen or tell; so, I meditated until the gray was gone, for a decision had to be made today; to spend one more day in my situation- I refuse, but finding no answer- my tears fell. __________________________ November 4, 2018 Poetry/Rhyme/Musing Reverie Copyright Protected, ID 11-1082-603-04 All Rights Reserved, 2018, Constance La France Written for the Standard contest, Tell Me A Story - 2 Inspiration (Image #2- Woman On Beach) sponsor, Brenda Chiri, Judged 11/2018 Sixth Place

This is a very interesting poem. You captured the feeling of being trapped with equisite precision. The tears falling at the end is a measure of the hurt. I am glad you are happy and this is fiction--although based on experience. I just wanted to say hello and send regards to a beautiful human being!!

Hi friends, this poem is fiction, I am quite happy with my life. I have felt trapped in life at times for sure but in the past, so I know how that feels.
