Music Box Memory

Music Box Memory ‘The spiral staircase made her high heels sing’ slightly off key as they were borrowed. She danced, each step a spiral upward, spinning in the sights and sounds and scents, carried on the joy of such a dream rising on the cool of fall chilled air. He watched her childlike innocence explode a laughter turning giggles into tears. ’From here the city churches pierced the mist’ long marble fingers stretching toward their gods could only hope to find the joy she had in reaching out to touch the bowing moon. He felt the touch of petals on his cheek the kiss of memory’s ever lasting thrill the sound of dance steps in a music box ’He closed it, and, now smiling, crossed the square. ©5/7/2018 submitted to – One nine and sixteen upgrade version – Poetry Contest sponsor – Viv Wigley Lines 1,9. and 16 provided as prompt
