Murphy's Law
“If it can go wrong it will” was said
By engineer working on rocket sled
As it happens he was right
Try your best with all your might
But it wont hold off your plight
Change your lane ‘cause it’s too slow
Now you’ve left, that lane will go
If you drop your toast upon the floor
Is jam side down always called for?
A cease in fire I do implore
Climb out of bath to answer ringing phone
Just in time to find that caller has now gone
Wash the car and wait for the pain
For sure within hours it’s bound to rain
Or a bird from above will leave a white stain
Edward Murphy was his name
But Ed I call him just the same
As I know him all too well
Just ask my wife, she will tell
He’s always cause for when I yell
