Mum's Mum
Nana, Grandma, Gran, Granny. The Mother of all, to you and your Children
The biggest person, the most respected, the one the kids run to, when
Nana, "SOB" Billy Smith kicked the ball and it hit me in the face and made my nose bleed
Shhh child, I will wipe the blood away, stroke your hair, look I have a story for you that I will read
Once upon a time in the land of the kind, and you know, Nana will always be in your mind
Nana, The Lioness, Nana, I am sixteen and my life is all messed, I think I am pregnant and feel so depressed, shhh child, come, cuddle be warm, sleep tight my baby, I will speak to your mum and daddy in the morn
Nana, the Massive person, that you endear, was it not Nana that encouraged your mathematical career
Oh Nana, I cannot get my head into all this theorem, shhh child, we will figure it out, she had such wisdom
Nana, the Mammoth of a Goddess, I stand over your coffin and know we are together
Thank you for guiding me through life, I will love you forever
What can I say but Nana, there is another word, Its called Nano, an absolute reverse
Two short words and so alike but a thousand million miles apart
Unlike me an you my Nana, forever in my heart
