Much Like the Rain
And then one day,
much like a rain that washes everything away
I realized my life had changed,
my sky had changed from blue to gray
For one by one,
those I have loved, now gone to say goodbye
And all the things that we have known,
no longer here, I want to cry
An empty shelf,
for what I had collected seems to disappear
The shops, the streets, the buildings
replaced, a different atmosphere
Much like the rain,
my tears will fall, reflecting what has changed
Yet I have lived and have survived
and now my world is rearranged
