Moving On
Whether or not they are repentent
Sadly won’t reverse the outcome
We are on our path they are on theirs
Intersecting but independent
Our journey is our own
With goals and resolve
Our milestones our evolution
Crosses we must bear
Subtle insights of wisdom en route
At some point we need to let go
To forgive ~ but how?
It came to me in an epiphany
An enlightening bolt of wisdom
A secret as a gift divulged ~
Understanding people are but human
They can make deplorable mistakes
They get hurt and lash out
Not thinking of consequences
Mindless of karmic aftermath
On their course their evolution
They may be in a heartless rut
We are all on this test called life
Heading toward the same finish line
