Mother Hides Secrets

A young elephant looked at mother; so different from it, so strange! The mother so big and heavy, it was a little thing beside her The young elephant decided to ask; “Mother, tell me, who are you? hide no secret from me, mother; You look like a heap of something, are you a mountain range? Your legs look like stems, are you a tree? You carry two big spears, are you a bush hunter? Your eyes are so small, are you a forest scientist? See, you carry two sheets, are you a mysterious tailor? Other animals just live here and go are you surely a patriot?” The mother listened and answered; “My child be patient, grow. Time has all answers for you.”
