Morning Dew
The morning dew
lay heavily upon the earth
and lost within a haze of doubt
I drift again, alone.
The shadows never truly go away
dawn merely lights the clouds
and hides the tears within my eyes,
does everyone lay quietly asleep?
all but I?
I am looking, searching deep
within the shadows of my soul.
These are lonely words I speak and write
hidden for no one to see or know
There is no one I trust my secrets to.
as morning brightens with the rising of the sun
In the clearing away of clouds
I lie hidden with my secrets safe and dying,
alone again,
alone among the crowd.
