People need to make do with less, and Home School. The state has let us down. "It takes a village," -- right...while her child went to private school I would bet. Poignant write.

I have heard that some school systems are passing rules about pronoun use for which children (little ones) would be suspended from school if they use them incorrectly. Something else put-on little ones to worry about. Thanks for sharing this timely topic. Your visit to my page was just what I needed. Sara

Sara, the majority (!) of elementary schools in the US (and the UK, I believe) require 'gender identification education' starting in kindergarden. This includes pronouns and learning about homosexuality, lesbianism, transgenderism, being queer and all that. Exactly what Kindergardeners need to be dealing with, eh? -- when they can't even tie their shoes or write a number bigger than 2! What a mess 'democracy' has made of EVERYTHING! :) gw
