Moonlight Laugh

Napping on small boat,
adrift in the bay currents,
crimson moon rose enticing.
Red rays in the dark.
A shadow jumped like a fish.
Too indistinct in the darkness.
Did I hear a laugh in the moonlight?

Hi Victor, a clever humorous poem which reminds me of a camping trip with the boys when most their fishing trips were on an crocodile infested estuary, at night, you can imagine how scared I was until they returned. Hugs and blessings Jennifer.

Stephen Crane comes to mind "A Man Adrift On A Slim Spar" "Your mind is out to sea" is an old idiom to describe one who's mind is playing tricks on him. Voices carry, but laughter--maddening and ghostly. Audio hallucinations makes hard to live with oneself. Love the mystery, Victor!
