Moon Struck - Collaboration
I am the traveller with stones in my coat
Made opaque by staying nameless
Though dark I am not darkness
Swallowing the edges of days, overtaking
I rinse my dirty fingers in a painted lake
Running tributary off canvas
Humpbacks of dull pebbles huddle underfoot
As wanting pulls my bones from me
A millennia enveloped in sweet pedal caress
Undertow to both capture and drag
Beneath streams prolonged by a yearning
Forever intended to flow back to source
Still, waiting for the abrasing escalation
When we halt all this and become whole
Not just part of a cycle sloughing off
Waiting to be bludgeoned, skull-cracked
Hoping to meet a fellow traveller
With stones in their coat ready to oblige
