MOON OVER THE MOUNTAIN* ~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
The moon ascends, a silver coin tossed into the well of sky. Its glow spills over jagged peaks, softening their rugged edges. I stand beneath the moon’s glow, pondering my own ascent~ those moments when I climbed, when I faltered, and when I stood still, lost in the beauty of the struggle. *Cendrine Marrouat published this poem at Haiku Shack (creativeramblings.com) in June, 2025. It is my original creation.

Unusual drawing. You see the moon as a silver coin tossed into the well of the sky…imaginative!

"I stand beneath the moon’s glow, pondering my own ascent~ those moments when I climbed, when I faltered, and when I stood still, lost in the beauty of the struggle." We often are left to think of our own journey in life, the moments of achievements, the moments of failure and at times moments of doldrum. Life is a sum total of gains and losses and also inertia. However as we look back, we find that there has been beauty in our struggle. A beautiful poem, dear Sara.
