Moon Is Afraid of Mermaid Confidence
Moon mermaid understood her benefactor better every season
He controlled the tides, and he might be trying to control her
Luna made a variety of suggestions; she pretended to listen
But not well, and he figured it out. Calling her out.
She spent a lot of time braiding her hair, dodging sharks.
For the tides brought them her way more frequently.
The sharks had heard of sirens, they feared Moon Maiden.
Had she known this, she would have taunted them.
She has such confidence and a sense of strength.
This was Moon complaining to his parents.
You want a strong woman, son, his father said.
Giving his wife the side eye, with crossed fingers.
