Moon Gazing
Gazing at the moon’s beauty
Assures me great certainty:
This bright celestial wonder
Appears through God’s grand order.
Its fullness brings warm delight
Midst night’s* glow of subdued light
Offering serene moments
Meditative engagements.
Beholding moon’s bashful smile
Makes my muse linger awhile
On lunar news: facts or fake
Like Halloween myths at stake.
Yet lovely moon’s gracious gleam
Heralds Almighty truth’s beam
He not just watches above
Since He’s nigh with His whole love.
*Genesis 1:16 And God made two great lights; the greater light to rule the day, and the lesser light to rule the night.
