Monsters In My Head

I hear them Purring and Whispering in my head. Wishing that I would let them free. I say no to them. They start to yell, Driving me into madness. I clench my ears, I beg them to stop please. They do not listen "These monsters will push me over the edge!" I cry out in the blackness that surrounds me. Then all at once it stops The cries and the screams. Tears dripping from my eyes, Seeing only a bright light on the floor, Looking up seeing his hand reaching for me, "Monsters may plague your mind," His voice calming and sweet like warm candy. "But, I will fight until my dying breath to keep them from their push." He helps me off of my feet. "Who are you?" I ask him tears welling up in my eyes as they whisper. "The prince of light and all things good." He brings me into a tight hug, The smell on his white clothing intoxicating, "My princess of darkness and all things evil, let me protect you from yourself." He lifts my chin to look into my weeping eyes, "Do not cry, I am here now."
