Monsters

Monsters live in houses, like you and I. They eat and sleep and go to work each day. They laugh and they feel pain. Perhaps they cry! But they have different games they like to play They need to have control. Therefore, most seek a victim who is young or not so strong. They think they are almighty, but their mind is weak. Depraved, they pay no heed to right or wrong. They may seem crude, but some of them are slick. The ones with brains play too well at their game. All monsters love what normal folks find sick. They brutalize and rape, and feel no shame. Beware! One could be living on your street or be that charming guy you’ve chanced to meet!

There is one in our neighborhood now..Three times last week he tried to lure school children into his car with a puppy and candy...Luckily no one took his bait...The police have been ever present but I fear he will just move on to another area.

So frightening and yet we might live right next door and possibly don't even know of the monsters that lurk. Well written of course by my word warrior sister.

Scary - did you ever see the movie "Barton Fink"? Or those ole Japanese monster movies - Godzilla, Mothra and the like? That is what your poem brings to my mind. Peace & Love Matthew Anish
