Monotone Blues
I haven’t written much of late;
the most prolific leaderboard will have to wait.
It seems I’ve got a lot upon my plate,
but life is good; in fact, it’s rather great!
I seem to stay in an exhausted state,
between hard work and losing weight,
choices I’ve freely chosen, mate.
There are no epic poems chomping at the gate;
perhaps there will be at a later date.
It’s not like I am in a dire strait;
’tis just one of my muse’s more annoying traits,
and so I won’t press hard against the fates,
for they will return soon again at a most torrid rate.
