Monk Mode

“There are many "cures" for depression, some of them are drugs from a pharmacist, and others are creation by a loving God.” Earth life being about feeling contrast, along with joy, we experience pain, which if sublimated, cleanses soul’s stain and so although destiny’s die is cast, dwelling not on transience, that does not last, in the womb of love, fears to rest are lain and embracing life, we dance in the rain, seeing no cause, to fly our flag half-mast. Breath by breath, grace of God in heart aflame, vibrant soul frolics in the void carefree, accepting gracefully, both highs and lows, recognising earth life as but a game, wherein when with pulse of love we agree, our heart in repose, strikes a blissful pose.

Indeed, that’s how it is. Each crest is a trough, as new peaks appear

Depression is a difficult condition and one that is ignored by some.. and some countries do not have effective resources for it... never easy suffering from this.. you wrote an interesting sonnet with a different rhyme scheme here..

Yes. Depression, bipolar and other variants are medical conditions, yet having roots in ignorance. If somehow we are able to know who we are, in as, we see directly, eternal essence of our being and then embody that recognition in our waking state, then where is fear, desire, attachment, prejudice, anger and hence depression?

My personal opinion, both are needed. After all, medication is God's creation too. Blessings.

Beautiful - I'm conscious of my own zen moments but also the quick re-shackling to doubt that occurs... I've never tried monasticism though :) great poem

At a certain point, we are then in but not of the world, vibrantly engaged yet nonchalant to outcomes, oozing love yet detached, accepting whatever is, as is.

"frolic in the void" - a striking observation. Well composed.
