How often, I remember when
Mom's voice calmed from all my fears
As nightfall traced our shadow-dance;
Childhood tricks glowing in our eyes
While fairy tales spoke of romance.
Fine the hands swerving along winds,
Rock-a-bye tunes lulled mellow nights
Tender age spilling revelries,
On my lap, tinsels wrapped moonlights.
Where laughter whirled, catching the dew
Till evening swept like blue rainfall;
And we rolled on to touch the clouds,
Then lulled away with my old doll.
Till somewhere, I remember when
Growing older as an adult
Dear Mom I love, you're now a shrine;
In hush of dusk, you pour gold light
Right through my bosom...we entwine.
