Moments
There are moments
which years cannot replace.
I would trade the whole world,
with all it has to offer,
for one of these moments.
But the world is not mine to give.
The moments come in sections,
to finish a given task.
Confusing at first.
Then steady, strong and firm.
Es gibt Augenblicke im Leben,
welche Jahre nicht ersetzen koennen.
Ich wuerde die ganze Welt eintauschen,
mit allen Annehmlichkeiten und Freuden,
fuer einen solchen Augenblick.
Doch die Welt gehoert nicht mir,
um zu verschenken. Die Momente
kommen in Bruchstuecken
um ein gegebenes Lebenswerk zu vollenden.
Zuerst verwirrend,dann fliessend, stark,
maechtig und ueberzeugend
