Moments
A moment of worry white butterflies roaming nearby
Melancholy blues whispers in the breeze
Yet even though the chest feels cold
Stories, magazines, internet, articles, poems emerge
There is a wonder in the skies and in the hearts of humankind
And there is warmth in the ever living strength beyond
Which we could not have known, without the evolving of the human
Heart and you know of the growth of those who struggle
There the angels show their love to family, children and friends
Even to the creatures of the earth dog, horse, cat and sparrow
Something evolves and grows if even for an hour or a day
There it is as the heart warms in whatever hour one holds
A book in wonder, a song, a symphony, a child’s laugh
A lovers tears and smiles — melancholy blues fly away
Begone there are so many moments of warmth and joy
Silence and quiet magic twinkling in the starry nights
Take them in like small flowers and rainbows
Like the rain that is absorbed into the grasses
Life all of it — sings to us like a melodious lark
For however long we are able to listen
