MLK
A man first
A peace prophet second
Many times you could see him
Marching along
Fighting fear from his face by singing or linking of arms
Gandhi’s seed
He learned his lessons well
Rising to the application level
Transcending the cognitive domain
Into divine intellect
An orator
With the gift of God in his voice
Rich in metaphor and Biblical reference
Moving peoples’ hearts to make things happen
Announcing the coming of his own demise
An American icon
Bringing positive change to this country
A whole new set of rules
The shame is that he did not see the ages pass
The dream we dare to think of and simply say, “Thanks MLK”
