Missing Love

The fire is burning as if it were alive With sounds of crackling and popping Like the sound of an orchestra singing to me Smoke twirling up through it’s chimney Generating heat and keeping us warm The flames jumping with a hint of red and bright orange Touching each other while blending together The wood becomes colored of amber and gold Reaching up to the top of this iron stove Heating it up I can then place our coffee upon the stove Coffee brewing I cannot wait for the first cup The smell of fresh coffee as it waves through the air Lighting up all five senses breathing the air No better way then to spend a cold snowy day Holding you while drinking this fresh brew So beautiful a pure white it is outside As the tender snow flakes fall from the sky A romantic day just you and I Cuddled up by the fire just gazing into her eyes Thinking and wondering of this love Wondering when God will send me my Missing Love
