Notes About The Poem

Mirror of Time

Cottage at the lake
Sunset blooms down by the shore
Spring wandering moon
Glass lake, starlight reflections
of skies that once knew the noon.

How eloquent and tranquil, love 'sunsets bloom' and 'spring wandering moon' - I feel like I'm right there at the lake~

You have a wonderful skill for charmingly capturing a moment. Painting with words. A hint of longing for days gone by in this one? Love it!

It's so nice to know you enjoyed this, Joe. Thank you for your wonderful compliment. To answer your question, I love to leave my poems open to many interpretations. It's like the old Tootsie Roll song, with a slightly different ending: 'Whatever it is I think I see, that's what it is to me.' Blessings
