Midnight Lullaby
Listen to poem:
ivory stars stay silent,
soaring into a midnight
lullaby-
gleaming toward tomorrow;
fearing not death,
accepting the universe as
their eternal fate
softly, stardust

and I am in awe
stars ignite where
depth knows not an
end,
where light and dark
dance creating an aria
of kaleidoscopic brilliance
clouds gather to see the
shooting stars;
oceans divide and ravens
sing tunes of cosmic beauty
as I lay upon my bed watching the stars soar by,
I feel the gentle solace of a midnight lullaby
