Met Him
MET HIM
Midnight Party: Pour whisky more.
Champagne oozing foaming within goblet.
Ballet to start on dancing floor.
Got puzzled rather in a stalemate.
I could not console my lone soul.
Couples got ready holding hand in hand.
I sipped, drank, sank in alcohol.
Felt so confused, what to do, where to stand?
Tipsy tippled ran dreamy night.
Handsome warrior appeared in front.
Got mesmerized in faint dim light,
could not decide whether to speak or not.
He put his hand around my waist.
Tough touch melt in each heart beat restless
On his shoulder my head took rest.
Smelt romantic aroma of closeness.
Overwhelmed we danced in delight.
What he was gently speakring, I tried to listen.
Stepping forward he held me tight.
Whispers voiced in my ears: ‘JOSEPHINE’!
