Men Cry Too, Yeah
(A COVID Thanksgiving)
Written By: D. Collins 11/25/20
We've been taught to never let our feelings show.
But, deep down inside is where the anguish grows.
If we're not careful, it can certainly eat us alive.
Sometimes its best to let tears fill up your eyes.
Granny is gone, and both my father and mother.
I can't even pick up the phone to call my little brother.
Men cry too, yeah. Contrary to popular belief.
Things happen in their lives to bring them to their knees.
We do it in private, so nobody knows how it hurts.
Be strong in public is how its supposed to work.
So, we display the image of how we want to appear.
But, men cry too, I guarantee you, yeah.
