Memory Verse
“For God so loved the world, that he gave his only begotten Son,
that whosoever believeth in him should not perish,
but have everlasting life.”
Such Bible verse expressed in John 3:16
is etched in all aspects of my personhood
ceaselessly prevailing --- surpassing
any grand event along milestones
in my history and biography
since its impact reveals who am I …
… never can be obliterated from my memory .
“For God so loved the world…
Such reminds me of the Creator Who in His compassion
reached-out to everyone, including me
with love, mercy, grace, kindness and truth
assuring redemption from transgressions’ wages
granting pardon for eternal life endowment
which I treasure with blessed ownership…
…when I received HIM in my heart and I became His child.
“…that he gave his only begotten Son…”
Suh always reverberates along reminiscence-bliss
creating gratitude-praise whenever I ponder
about the sacrifice of the Saviour for mankind
offering freedom against iniquities’ bondage
cleansing guilt midst earnest confession
of errors, pride, selfishness, and debility…
…then I yielded to HIM my everything for His discipleship.
“…that whosoever believeth in him should not perish…”
Such makes me recall the miraculous moment
of personal encounter with Jesus Christ…
that born-again experience so marvelous
wrought by the Holy Spirit, imparting divine nature
toward a vibrant relationship midst trust, allowing me
a wretched sinner, to have fellowship with the Almighty…
… then my journey beyond the celestial commenced as His follower.
“…but have everlasting life.”
Such enables memory-bank
to linger on the forever-possession
my soul is bestowed with: joy, peace, forgiveness
amidst triumph over despair and hopelessness
verily priceless, worthy to cherish, surpassing oblivion…
which I can share, along Gospel-declaration…
…now as God's privileged steward, servant, soldier, student.
*Romans 6:23 … The gift of God is eternal life through Jesus Christ our Lord.
