Nice take on the contest prompt, Rick. I did not have this association with the picture, but I can see how one might view the picture like you do; the sadness is well depicted.

So expressively sad, Rick. I envision an older gentleman sitting in a chair. His eyes try to hold back tears... low light filters into the room with dust particles floating in the air...sadness surrounds him.
