May Day Bliss

First kisses long past, the day to wed was now here, we neared the charming mill, the pond and two white swans foretold good fortune to all those who appeared. The Ode to Joy was playing as we two walked the aisle each young maid and groom stood and simply smiled and smiled. The priest and parents all enthralled nothing amiss This May Day we were joined, we hoped, into married bliss.

debs, what a lovely may memory. How long were you married? I was thinking to do a love poem on this topic too, if it's still around by the time I can get to it tomorrow.
