Mary Ann's Age-Old Excuse

Mary Ann had a boyfriend that she
gave affection and great loyalty.
Since the age of sixteen
no one else had she seen
but she wanted more at thirty-three!

Her boyfriend, of course, had it made
since regularly, he would get laid.
So excuses he gave
when Mary Ann would rave
about marriage. . . and unwed they stayed.

Getting pregnant was her coup d'etat
when she said, “You will soon be a pa!”
She said, “Furthermore, Bruce,
I don’t need an excuse.
In my mind we’re a pair - common-law!”

what I'm saying' is. at one point and time I was the excuse maker. avoiding the marriage he would offer. my family would tell me why stick around if you do not love him. I told them the MONEY IS GOOD. now look at me years later. stupidly in love. and torn over my stupidness. we female are also good when it comes to making excuse when it comes to love making. LIKE~ 1. My head hurts. 2. I'm tired 3. I've been feeling sad all day leave me alone. 4. I'm on my period. LMFAO. (and I was not) LMFAO

ahh. Limericks you said the word laid. I'm surprise no one has reported this poem 2the soup. I actually got the image of the man having so much sex. who needs not to marry when you have it made. Reminds me of my man;-) all the excuses he would make when he brought up marriage. hum or, was it I who was in it for the money. How does it work Miss Andrea. Can a female hold on to a man without marriage. and only commit to a common law marriage for the money.

Loved this one immensely! I can't enter into contests in the last week, leave comments in blogs or send a help message to team PoetrySoup... Could you do contact them for me? I'd be eternally grateful... It seems to be happening to several people... Your friend. Carol Eastman

Quite the ruse, her old excuse. She got him where it counts. Now I'm sure Bruce will think next time before a girl he mounts. Everybody loves a limerick Andrea. Thanks! Enjoyed! Hoping your holidays are fiiled with lots of goodies.
