Marigolds

Marigolds, seem so tame Multiply flame by flame Madmen, they stand so bold Menacing - draped in gold Midday to evening sun Mundane yet how they stun

They are so abundant, they are a gift! Plus they are a great decoy if growing other things x

I never imagined them menacing but it gave a very interesting perspective along with the madmen line! Loved the rhyming of the last two lines. Congrats in my contest with this flowered gem.

Thank you Andrea, glad I spotted your blog so I could correct the syllables - went a bit wild to ensure you didn't get several the same. Thanks for my placement x

This was a quick one for a contest, so attempting to get 5 original other words for marigolds tricky! Yes, they do not smell pleasant. I always feel a gardening genius when they grow so abundantly from seed though, then I collect the seeds in at the end of the season like a gambler who won big haha! Imagining if I went into marigold seed sales how I could get 100 times my money back year on year lol. I've never actually done the maths to discover when I'd become a millionaire though :)
