Terrible to be alone. Even enemies are a sort of blessing to those feeling entirely isolated. Why some very nice people stay in some horrible relationships. Well said.

Therapists work only 9 to 5 if that and have Patient backlogs. Friends are better options when all that is needed is a listening ear and they don't revert to drug prescriptions. I went to a therapist for three sessions over work related issues. They find it hard as some patients want to be their friends, whereas I had friends and wanted professional advice. I worked as an early childhood teacher for thirty years mostly relieving. it was sad seeing children without father figures or friends. I had opportunities to make friends early in life, have family and a wide range of interests so plenty to keep things in perspective as no life is perfect.
