Magical Mist

Darkness descends as the smoky mist drifts along
Swirling around on a gentle breeze
Creeping silently like a stalking cat
Enveloping everything it touches
Billowing gently in the weeping willow trees
Veiled in secrecy it lingers mid air
Creating ghostly shadows with menacing forms
Producing diamond like dew on a spider’s web

Jan...this is an ethereal feel to this. Absolutely fantastic, woman. Your prowess as a poetess is clearly see here...No mist can hide that. Love the weeping willow...Also, that is one busy spider...more than one web, eh? ;) THAT gives the shivers...arachnophobia and all! Hugs.

Weeping Willows, When I was a kid, there were two outside my bedroom window. Very creepy in the full moon and fog . Good Luck with the contest, Jan

Excellent imagery. Creating ghostly shadows with menacing forms: It really evokes such feelings, your poem, I mean. Producing diamond like dew on a spider’s webs: What a nice poetic image....
