Magic of the Forest
Scarlet shadows linger in the deep recesses of the forest
Slithering snakes cautiously sliding under the leaves
Making their way toward enlightenment
A curious journey of their well-deserved solitude
Hushed silence permeates the forest
Stretching an emotional feeling of reverence
Not felt in other less sacred places
Faerie magic dances on mushroom houses
Every footstep brings me closer to my soul self
Wisdom of rocks nod softly at my inner thoughts
Guarded and protected, encircled by oak soldiers
I sit lightly, admiring the brook few have ever seen
There is such a lightness surrounding this darkness
Angels are near, and they can be felt and sometimes heard
In the whispers of the forest trees and the gurgle of the brook.
A leaf floats down gently, landing at my feet. I am delighted.
